The glory of God is intelligence, or, in other words, light and truth

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you."

For, behold, the mystery of godliness, how great is it!

Zion or United States April 10, 2012

Christ is the gift of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation. First it was given unto the Jews and then unto the Gentiles. And then first unto the Gentiles and then unto the Jews, for the first shall be the last and the last shall be the first, for the LORD will have compassion on Jacob and he shall yet chose Israel to establish them for ever and ever.

FOR the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

(Old Testament | Isaiah 14:1)

FOR the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land; and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. And the people shall take them and bring them to their place; yea, from far unto the ends of the earth; and they shall return to their lands of promise.  And the house of Israel shall possess them, and the land of the Lord shall be for servants and handmaids; and they shall take them captives unto whom they were captives; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall give thee rest, from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve. And it shall come to pass in that day, that thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say: How hath the oppressor ceased, the golden city ceased! The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, the scepters of the rulers.

(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 24:1 - 5)

And because of the gladness of the gift and the promises of the LORD that cannot lie, like Paul, the light unto the gentiles, I am not ashamed one bit of God, neither of the Christ or his everlasting gospel. Many of you already know and it is written that God so loved the world that he gave unto us his only begotten son, so that whosoever believes in him, does not perish but inherits Eternal life.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

(New Testament | Romans 1:16)

I AM was sent to show us the way, and with gladness I declare it, because tit is expedient for you to know that Jesus Christ is the Great I AM. He is the way, the light and the life of the world. It is expedient for me to show you that I AM sent me to write these things; and my children to prepare the way before his second coming, as it was also shown unto me by the prophets the path to follow. And I now declare unto you as the voice of one who cries repentance in the wilderness saying these very words:

Hearken and Lo, this is the voice as of one who is sent down from high who is mighty and strong; whose goings are unto the ends of the earth and whose voice is unto all  men saying: Repent ye, repent ye for the Kingdom of heaven is nigh at hand. Repent ye, repent ye, and make the path of the LORD straight.

Repent ye, Repent ye and prepare the way of the LORD and bring forth fruits worth meet for repentance. For it is written that the ax is laid as the base of every tree and every tree that does not bring forth good fruit, will be hewn down and cast into the fire from whence no traveler returns.  I am telling you the truth and verily, verily I say unto you that these are the words of Jesus Christ unto you who is thus saying:

Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Whatsoever ye ask the Father in my name it shall be given unto you, that is expedient for you; And if ye ask anything that is not expedient for you, it shall turn unto your condemnation.

Behold, that which you hear is as the voice of one crying in the wilderness—in the wilderness, because you cannot see him—my voice, because my voice is Spirit; my Spirit is truth; truth abideth and hath no end; and if it be in you it shall abound. And if your eye be single to my glory, your whole bodies shall be filled with light, and there shall be no darkness in you; and that body which is filled with light comprehendeth all things.

Therefore, sanctify yourselves that your minds become single to God, and the days will come that you shall see him; for he will unveil his face unto you, and it shall be in his own time, and in his own way, and according to his own will.

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 88:63 - 68)

The truth is speaking to you today. It has been restored and many are now sent endowed with power from on high from the top of the mountains to give unto the children of men the light. We are not the light, but we are sent like unto the apostles of all to bear witness of the Light. And yet, many of us have taken it upon ourselves the sanctification process; and the name of Christ with real intent of heart to declare and administer the gospel as The LORD would in all things that are expedient for the salvation of man in these latter days. For it is written: that this it the work, the honor and the glory of God, which is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.

For, behold, the mystery of godliness, how great is it!

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 19:10)

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

(New Testament | Hebrews 5:12)

It is important that all flesh knows and understand that we are now living in a time that almost the whole world knows about a savior of the world, even him whose name is Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the father; or the son of the Living God.  And that by this reason we preach liberty by the merits of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ unto all creatures from the rivers to the plains; and from the plains to the everlasting mountains; and from the everlasting mountains to the ends of the earth. This is so that every one may know in their own language the source where they need to go and seek both temporal and eternal salvation.

And not leaving behind the first principles of the gospel, which are first, faith in the LORD Jesus Christ and in none else, for salvation come not to anyone except thru him and his name. Second, by repenting of all our sins, iniquities and transgressions confessing our sins, abandoning them and by making restitution whenever possible.   Third, it is by showing our faith and belief by coming into the waters of baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; and fourth the bestowal of the gift of the Holy Ghost by the lying g hands. All these things must be performed or conducted by those who are in authority before GOD, angels and these witnesses. This is so that all things commanded, ordered and decreed by God that we do, can be valid by on earth and in heaven. Only then all these things can be sanctioned by the Holy Spirit of promise for our eternal profit.

Now, my brethren and sisters in Christ, I fear exceedingly for the world because of this time that has now arrived, for excepting little children, no one can be found blameless before God except through sincere repentance, in the merits of the son of God, for the LORD cannot be mocked. For thus saith the Lord and the Holy Scriptures make it plainly manifest saying:

For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

And moreover, I say unto you, that the time shall come when the knowledge of a Savior shall spread throughout every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. And behold, when that time cometh, none shall be found blameless before God, except it be little children, only through repentance and faith on the name of the Lord God Omnipotent.

And even at this time, when thou shalt have taught thy people the things which the Lord thy God hath commanded thee, even then are they found no more blameless in the sight of God, only according to the words which I have spoken unto thee. And now I have spoken the words which the Lord God hath commanded me.

And thus saith the Lord: They shall stand as a bright testimony against this people, at the judgment day; whereof they shall be judged, every man according to his works, whether they be good, or whether they be evil. And if they be evil they are consigned to an awful view of their own guilt and abominations, which doth cause them to shrink from the presence of the Lord into a state of misery and endless torment, from whence they can no more return; therefore they have drunk damnation to their own souls.

Therefore, they have drunk out of the cup of the wrath of God, which justice could no more deny unto them than it could deny that Adam should fall because of his partaking of the forbidden fruit; therefore, mercy could have claim on them no more forever. And their torment is as a lake of fire and brimstone, whose flames are unquenchable, and whose smoke ascendeth up forever and ever.  Thus hath the Lord commanded me.  Amen.

(Book of Mormon | Mosiah 3:19 - 27)

Now, once we are purified and sanctified, we must endure in faithfulness unto the end and go unto perfection, if God permits. But how can we endure unto the end by leaving behind or forgetting principle of the doctrine of repentance, but not as laying again the foundation of repentance by dead works and of faith towards God, but by living works of righteousness worthy of repentance, those which bear fruit with power unto deliverance even if it were in the midst of fire. For it is in the furnace of affliction where we are chosen; and after doing all we can in faith and perseverance, it is by mercy and grace that we are saved. For it is written that faith without works is dead faith. And perhaps it is also written that works without faith are of no value unto the soul for without faith man cannot please God.

Therefore not leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, And we will go on unto perfection if God permit.

For he hath made it impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to be renewed again unto repentance, seeing they crucify unto themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

For the day cometh that the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them who dwelleth thereon, by whom it is dressed, who now receiveth blessings from God, shall be cleansed with fire. For that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; therefore they who bring not forth good fruits, shall be cast into the fire; for their end is to be burned. But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous, therefore he will not forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

(JST | Hebrews 6:1 - 10)

Because many have fallen from grace either due to ignorance, mischief or willful disobedience, some cannot be renewed again. To strengthen the weak and to prevent the strong from falling away, I will now speak somewhat about Melchisedec, the High Priest according to the order of the son of God. Henceforth, since the days of this man, this priesthood has been known as the Priesthood or order of Melquisedec.

Melchisedec was the king of Salem or the prince of peace, who in the days of iniquity and vengeance lived and sojourned among the wicked and he desired to make his calling and election sure to never fall from grace. And to follow his ensample, will be profitable for all who have, or who are ordained priests and have not yet tasted of the tender mercies of GOD. And like unto Enoch; Melchisedec made many righteous out of them and fled to Zion or obtained heaven.

Now, Melchisedec was so righteous that God honored him and the priesthood was named after him inasmuch, that even the patriarch Abraham paid tithing unto him. For Melchisedec was the High Priest or presiding Bishop of the Church in his time, and he kept the storehouse of the LORD. He was called of GOD and appointed as was Aaron. He had the right to preside or to take this honor upon himself.   Therefore, Melchisedec endeavored to magnify his office in the priesthood to the utmost possible. He knew he was not perfect and therefore, he submitted to all that God would place upon him like a son should or would submit unto this own father. And he learned obedience by the things which he suffered. IN other words, Melchisedec was tested like Job in all things.

Of him, that is, Melchisedec, we have many things to say for he offered sacrifices to the similitude of the only begotten son of the Father, even Jesus Christ. Even sacrifices of a broken heart and a contrite spirit until he attained perfection. So should we do likewise at each opportunity the gift of repentance is given unto us whether we are priests or not.  For he, Melchisedec, fasted and prayed often with heavy tears and strong crying and supplication unto the LORD for deliverance, trusting continually upon the arm of the Lord or on the holy priesthood. He was even like unto Nephi, the son of Lehi, afflicting his soul often as Moses did. And we should also remember that Moses prescribed, as a statute for the High Priests of the linage and Order of Aaron to make intercession for the transgressions of the people.  And this was also prescribed as a statue for ever, for the people in general to offer acceptable offerings unto the LORD and to afflict their souls in dust and ashes in a particular day every year, as a sign of repentance of a broken law.  This is how we fight error and wickedness and carry each other burdens to make them light. And it is noted in the scripture of truth that no one understands this doctrine or stands with Christ in this thing but Michael the great prince of the children of thy people.

But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

(Old Testament | Daniel 10:21)

But these High Priests,  such as the pre and after flood Patriarchs, Melchisedec and even Moses, being like unto GOD, they interceded in the name of God for the sinners by receiving a small, or modest or generous measure of both their temporal and the spiritual punishment in the flesh, or by absorbing like  sponges the filthiness and their infirmities for their transgressions to the similitude of the Only begotten of the father, even Jesus Christ who is full f grace and of truth.

So were the High Priest of the order of Aaron and his children with animal sacrifices by the shading of blood and also by the holy rituals of their purification at the door of the tabernacle.

I, Miguel or Michael, have been instructed from on high under the direction of the holy one who is without beginning of days or end of years in these particular matters. And after much repentance, having somewhat magnified my calling or being of both of these same orders as him; or after the order of Melchisedec and also in the order of Aaron, I do still considering myself the weakest of the weak, and infirm of both body and mind. Yet, as the LORD Jesus Christ, who is Holy, but in a lesser degree, being acquainted with grief and sorrow like unto the savior of the world, or like Melchisedec, I have learned and continue to learn obedience by the correction of the living God or of the things which I have suffered and continue to suffer.

It is a fight that I have endured for better or for worst pretty much since I was born, but for which I had never truly tasted until I was seventeen years old when being overloaded with sin, I prayed with strong crying and supplication for deliverance by offering unto the Lord a broken heart and a contrite spirit.   In which occasion an angel sent from heaven ministered unto me and comforted me. Now only that, but this venture into grief and spiritual sorrow came only after I was ordained to the office of priest in the lesser or the Aaronic priesthood. It was this priesthood power which carried me into the depths of humility by searching my soul of all impurities.

For, I know that the LORD only corrects those whom he loves until they become as pure as gold and as refined as silver.  The experience was on September 29th of 1987. On that day, I may have drank fro the first time of the bitter cup of dregs as the LORD did and I knew it not. And it was by this, or by walking the talk of the everlasting gospel and do it what the LORD required as an acceptable offering of repentance is how I bear solemn witness of his divinity or Godliness. And I as any and all the children of Israel, I hope one day the cup of trembling and dregs is taken completely away from me so I would drink it and faint no more. For of this it is written:

Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.

Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine: Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again: But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.

(Old Testament | Isaiah 51:20 - 23)

Again, this I know of a surety for the LORD Drank of this cup also. In fact, he set up the ensample before us when he atoned for our sins in the garden of Gethsemane when a great sorrow engulfed him that made him bleed from every pore great tears of blood. This is when he suffered the guilt and punishment for our transgression if it is that we exercise faith and him, repent and come unto him. And the prophets have shown unto us the path to follow adding faith to our witness. And of this, the scriptures attest. And I also bear witness of the divinity of Jesus Christ, the eternal Bishop of our souls, and of the mystery of his godliness, which is made manifest in word and power as follows:

And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you: For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD. It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.

And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments: And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation. And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year.  And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.

(Old Testament | Leviticus 16:29 - 34)

FOR every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins. And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.

So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.   Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

(New Testament | Hebrews 5:1 - 7)

Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

(New Testament | Hebrews 5:8 - 14)

NOW of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

(New Testament | Hebrews 8:1 - 3)

Now, let it be known that despite the atonement of Jesus Christ, for he paid the full and complete ransom for us all, some of us have or do sin even after our efforts of repentance or our first purification or Baptism. For not all things are given unto us at once to reach perfection, but like Christ we are given, line upon line and precept upon precept to grow from grace unto grace unto perfection as he did or to fall and rise no more as the sons of perdition.  And excepting little children, whosever says that he or she does not sin is a liar or makes Christ a liar, for if there is no sin in any of us, then there is no need of a Savior or a redeemer. But the savior of the world has come and we need to be purged of all sin by taking advantage of the gift of repentance and by coming unto him with full purpose of heart.  And by entering by the gate or by the waters of baptism and with obedience and faithfulness in all things even unto death. Of this it is written:

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

(New Testament | 1 John 1:6 - 10)

These sins of the world, still do trouble and make the Lord weep; when there is no one else, they the make the Soul of Christ groan when he is amongst us. And the sins do not get attached to Christ again. He must depose of them before he ascends to heaven. This he did time and again both before his death and after his resurrection when he took the sins and infirmities of his people in both world hemispheres; and when he took upon himself, and even death. For of this it is written:

When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him?  They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept.

(New Testament | John 11:33 - 35)

So they brought their little children and set them down upon the ground round about him, and Jesus stood in the midst; and the multitude gave way till they had all been brought unto him. And it came to pass that when they had all been brought, and Jesus stood in the midst, he commanded the multitude that they should kneel down upon the ground.

And it came to pass that when they had knelt upon the ground, Jesus groaned within himself, and said: Father, I am troubled because of the wickedness of the people of the house of Israel.

And when he had said these words, he himself also knelt upon the earth; and behold he prayed unto the Father, and the things which he prayed cannot be written, and the multitude did bear record who heard him.

(Book of Mormon | 3 Nephi 17:12 - 15)

Because God is Holy and nothing impure can dwell in his holy presence. Therefore, the scriptures are still in present tense, which is that some of us as extensions of Christ thru the holy priesthood are taken from among the people, to conduct daily and acceptable sacrifices unto the LORD.  I have been doing this because I wanted to understand the great mystery of Godliness or of his divinity of the atonement since I was a young man even up until now. And no one taught me these things, they were imbedded in me and were and are revealed to me by the Holy Ghost. And glory be to God in the highest and unto his son Jesus Christ and unto the Holy Ghost forever and ever.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

(New Testament | 1 Timothy 3:16)

Wherefore, I will explain unto you this mystery, for it is meet unto you to know even as mine apostles.I speak unto you that are chosen in this thing, even as one, that you may enter into my rest. For, behold, the mystery of godliness, how great is it!  For, behold, I am endless, and the punishment which is given from my hand is endless punishment, for Endless is my name.  Wherefore—

Eternal punishment is God's punishment.
Endless punishment is God's punishment.

Wherefore, I command you to repent, and keep the commandments which you have received by the hand of my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., in my name; And it is by my almighty power that you have received them;Therefore I command you to repent—repent, lest I smite you by the rod of my mouth, and by my wrath, and by my anger, and your sufferings be sore—how sore you know not, how exquisite you know not, yea, how hard to bear you know not.For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent; But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I;

Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit—and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink—Nevertheless, glory be to the Father, and I partook and finished my preparations unto the children of men.Wherefore, I command you again to repent, lest I humble you with my almighty power; and that you confess your sins, lest you suffer these punishments of which I have spoken, of which in the smallest, yea, even in the least degree you have tasted at the time I withdrew my Spirit.

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 19:8 - 20)

Before Christ these things were not known or properly understood by most people.  But after him, we can also do if it is that we are called chosen of God as was Aaron. These And these things are conducted in a way as directed by the spirit of God by some priests for the benefit of the entire world. It is them that carry the sins of the people in their own shoulders and most know it not. Some do not even know why they do suffer as they suffer even when they know that they are faithful and obedient in all things. They are cleaning up the sins of the repentant ones in their congregations, of the tabernacle or temple, their fellow priests, the altars, the church and even the land if needs be, so that some are spared the pains of hell or their lives prolonged until they can exercise sufficient faith in Christ to repent.  This is how all things are becoming subjected unto God until all things are subdued and all enemies’ neck are under his foot.

Nevertheless, few are listening if any at all. I am growing very weary, and my soul’s image or visage is marred more than a leper, for I have put my back to bear. The distress is at times overbearing. I am or feel at times like the abominable of the nations, the servant of servants and of rulers.  Those who look at me in the spirit shot bullets, stones and arrows at me as if they were looking at a spiritual monster or a leper.  And I do not know how long I will last or can endure this. I do not know who will rise me up or when I will be healed. Yet there is no shame on me. I know that my work is with my God and on him I wait. This is why we preach repentance day and night so that we can cover as many souls as possible before we are taken out of the way. Our work impedes the devil from fully taking over and the whole wrath of God to fall upon the wicked without measure. I am afraid that the time of the end is at hand. And that we all need to prepare to meet God before the night overpowers us when no work can be done.

I write this so that you know how I have served you and my God despite my purported prepotency and arrogance. I am fighting your spiritual battles with devils and antichrist continually both in the temporal and in the spiritual realm.  And I do not say it to boast, for without the help of God I could have not done a thing. I am telling you the truth; so that you know that when the daily sacrifice is not conducted, the people suffer. And the judgments of God are precipitated in accordance to the commandments, the law and more particularly statues and judgments of God as prescribed by Moses even before the people of Israel entered their first promised land.

It is needful that we understand these things so that our hearts are turned to our fathers and the father heart is returned unto us. Or that we partake of the promises made unto the fathers before the coming of the LORD in Glory, lest the whole earth is cursed with an overwhelming desolation and the LORD decrees in his wrath that we shall not enter into his rest as in the days of the first provocation. For of this it is written:

Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

(Old Testament | Malachi 4:4 - 6)

FOR behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of Hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name, shall the Son of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves in the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of Hosts.

Remember ye the law of Moses, my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord; And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

(Book of Mormon | 3 Nephi 25:1 - 6)

Now brethren, all things are lawful to me but not all things are expedient because not all things do edify. I do not know what else I can write that I have not written which is expedient for your profit, for I have no other object but the eternal welfare of your souls and in doing that God is glorified.   I write so that faith may increase that you may know of yourselves these truths. This is so that you also lear to offer acceptable sacrifices and offerings unto the LORD. Not all my sacrifices and offerings are acceptable. And faith cannot increase in the world save it is by repentance and fitful obedience to all of the Lord’s commandments.  Only then, the he will outpour the Holy Ghost upon his children who love him. And when that happens, we can do all things that are expedient in Christ, for he has spoken it. Here is the law and the testimony:

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 6:12)

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 10:23)

Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man.  And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself. And now, my sons, I would that ye should look to the great Mediator, and hearken unto his great commandments; and be faithful unto his words, and choose eternal life, according to the will of his Holy Spirit; And not choose eternal death, according to the will of the flesh and the evil which is therein, which giveth the spirit of the devil power to captivate, to bring you down to hell, that he may reign over you in his own kingdom. I have spoken these few words unto you all, my sons, in the last days of my probation; and I have chosen the good part, according to the words of the prophet.  And I have none other object save it be the everlasting welfare of your souls.  Amen.

(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 2:27 - 30)

But behold, my brethren, is it expedient that I should awake you to an awful reality of these things?  Would I harrow up your souls if your minds were pure?  Would I be plain unto you according to the plainness of the truth if ye were freed from sin? Behold, if ye were holy I would speak unto you of holiness; but as ye are not holy, and ye look upon me as a teacher, it must needs be expedient that I teach you the consequences of sin.Behold, my soul abhorreth sin, and my heart delighteth in righteousness; and I will praise the holy name of my God.

Come, my brethren, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters; and he that hath no money, come buy and eat; yea, come buy wine and milk without money and without price.Wherefore, do not spend money for that which is of no worth, nor your labor for that which cannot satisfy.  Hearken diligently unto me, and remember the words which I have spoken; and come unto the Holy One of Israel, and feast upon that which perisheth not, neither can be corrupted, and let your soul delight in fatness.Behold, my beloved brethren, remember the words of your God; pray unto him continually by day, and give thanks unto his holy name by night.  Let your hearts rejoice.

And behold how great the covenants of the Lord, and how great his condescensions unto the children of men; and because of his greatness, and his grace and mercy, he has promised unto us that our seed shall not utterly be destroyed, according to the flesh, but that he would preserve them; and in future generations they shall become a righteous branch unto the house of Israel. And now, my brethren, I would speak unto you more; but on the morrow I will declare unto you the remainder of my words.  Amen.

(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 9:47 - 54)

Wherefore, the Jews shall be scattered among all nations; yea, and also Babylon shall be destroyed; wherefore, the Jews shall be scattered by other nations. And after they have been scattered, and the Lord God hath scourged them by other nations for the space of many generations, yea, even down from generation to generation until they shall be persuaded to believe in Christ, the Son of God, and the atonement, which is infinite for all mankind—and when that day shall come that they shall believe in Christ, and worship the Father in his name, with pure hearts and clean hands, and look not forward any more for another Messiah, then, at that time, the day will come that it must needs be expedient that they should believe these things. And the Lord will set his hand again the second time to restore his people from their lost and fallen state.  Wherefore, he will proceed to do a marvelous work and a wonder among the children of men.

Wherefore, he shall bring forth his words unto them, which words shall judge them at the last day, for they shall be given them for the purpose of convincing them of the true Messiah, who was rejected by them; and unto the convincing of them that they need not look forward any more for a Messiah to come, for there should not any come, save it should be a false Messiah which should deceive the people; for there is save one Messiah spoken of by the prophets, and that Messiah is he who should be rejected of the Jews. For according to the words of the prophets, the Messiah cometh in six hundred years from the time that my father left Jerusalem; and according to the words of the prophets, and also the word of the angel of God, his name shall be Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 25:15 - 19)

Behold, it is expedient that much should be done among this people, because of the hardness of their hearts, and the deafness of their ears, and the blindness of their minds, and the stiffness of their necks; nevertheless, God is exceedingly merciful unto them, and has not as yet swept them off from the face of the land. And there are many among us who have many revelations, for they are not all stiffnecked.  And as many as are not stiffnecked and have faith, have communion with the Holy Spirit, which maketh manifest unto the children of men, according to their faith.

(Book of Mormon | Jarom 1:3 - 4)

And see that all these things are done in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength.  And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order.

(Book of Mormon | Mosiah 4:27)

For it is expedient that an atonement should be made; for according to the great plan of the Eternal God there must be an atonement made, or else all mankind must unavoidably perish; yea, all are hardened; yea, all are fallen and are lost, and must perish except it be through the atonement which it is expedient should be made. For it is expedient that there should be a great and last sacrifice; yea, not a sacrifice of man, neither of beast, neither of any manner of fowl; for it shall not be a human sacrifice; but it must be an infinite and eternal sacrifice. Now there is not any man that can sacrifice his own blood which will atone for the sins of another.  Now, if a man murdereth, behold will our law, which is just, take the life of his brother?  I say unto you, Nay.But the law requireth the life of him who hath murdered; therefore there can be nothing which is short of an infinite atonement which will suffice for the sins of the world.

Therefore, it is expedient that there should be a great and last sacrifice, and then shall there be, or it is expedient there should be, a stop to the shedding of blood; then shall the law of Moses be fulfilled; yea, it shall be all fulfilled, every jot and tittle, and none shall have passed away. And behold, this is the whole meaning of the law, every whit pointing to that great and last sacrifice; and that great and last sacrifice will be the Son of God, yea, infinite and eternal.

(Book of Mormon | Alma 34:9 - 14)

And now I go unto the Father, because it is expedient that I should go unto the Father for your sakes.

(Book of Mormon | 3 Nephi 18:35)

And Christ hath said: If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me.

(Book of Mormon | Moroni 7:33)

And now it is expedient that I cease writing, until you are able to digest all or a portion of these words which have been the core of my own existence. It is the reason by which my rod continually buds with everlasting words of truth in a way that I am able to expound. It is my hope that the veil of darkness that covers the earth and the gross darkness that covers the minds of people is rent so that may exercise sufficient faith to behold the salvation of the LORD. And as he has said it, great things await them those that expect him, for he will unveil his face unto them in his own due time, in his own way and according to his own will. For again it say unto you, that the gospel of Jesus Christ, is the power of God unto salvation; and of this I testify with humility and solemnity as one having authority in the sacred name Jesus Christ, amen.

Attentively from an unworthy servant in the hands of Christ

YEA, even doth not Isaiah say: Who hath believed our report, and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground; he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him there is no beauty that we should desire him.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquities of us all.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he opened not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgressions of my people was he stricken.

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no evil, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief; when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied; by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death; and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sins of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
