Mormons Don’t Stone Their Prophets

FROM THE DISCUSION:

Sacred Cow #8: Mormons Don’t Stone Their Prophets by Ezra Taylor and Bryan Mecham.

My responses are written separately in this blog because being guilty by their own admission, I, with the gift and power of God proved their point and they are ashamed to take upon them the name of Christ or to post my prophetic comments or insights. Their tactic is is a common and filthy strategy of inbred swine or filthy souls. With itching ears, they are eager to learn and pile up to themselves teachers, but fail to observe what they say or never come to the knowledge of the truth.

SACRED COW: MORMONS DO NOT STONE THEIR PROPHETS

What is a sacred cow? My definition is anything that is believed based only on tradition, and has little to zero basis on actual fact. These beliefs are held so strongly that the “worshiper” declares “blasphemy!” to anyone that challenges said belief.

Sacred Cow #8: Mormons Don’t Stone Their Prophets

In a previous post, a commenter suggested the title of this article. At the time I thought it was a humorous comment, but didn’t really give it a second thought. However, in my daily studies I kept coming across things that really showed it to be true, that in fact, we do stone our prophets.

I admit not the literal sense. In Old Testament days, prophets could be stoned without legal consequences. Today we must stone them in much more subtle ways. Instead of physically stoning them, we pretend to support “modern revelation” and sit atop our proverbial Rameumptom so thankful that we are not “led away after the foolish traditions of our brethren” and oh so grateful that we are a “chosen and holy people” (Alma 31:17–18)

Like the Zoramites, we don’t need to kill the prophets; we just ignore them and change what they teach. The Zoramites did this and claimed they were taught that there was no Christ.

Joseph Fielding Smith said,

“It has become unpopular to preach the unadulterated gospel in the stakes of Zion.” –Life of Joseph Fielding Smith, Joseph Fielding Smith & John J. Stewart, Deseret Book 1972, page 211

Joseph Fielding Smith further explained that it is those of us that consider ourselves to be Latter-day Saints that are the ones following in the steps of the Zoramites when he wrote,

“Are we not too much inclined to blame the generations that are past for the breaking of the new and e everlasting covenant, and to think it is because of the great apostasy which followed the ministry of the Apostles in primitive times, that these troubles are coming upon the earth? Perhaps we should wake up to the realization that it is because of the breaking of covenants, especially the new and everlasting covenant, which is the fullness of the Gospel as it has been revealed , that the world is to be consumed by fire and few men left. Since this punishment is to come at the time of the cleansing of the earth when Christ comes again, should not Latter-day Saints take heed unto themselves? We have been given the new and everlasting covenant and many among us have broken it, and many are now breaking it; therefore all who are guilty of this offense will aid in bringing to pass this destruction in which they will find themselves swept from the earth when the great and dreadful day of the Lord shall come.” Joseph Fielding Smith, Deseret News, Church Department, Oct 17, 1936, page 7

RESPONSE:

Sion, August 24, 2011

Things have not changed that much from ancient times, just that the wicked have found ways to reject, stone, cast away and murder the prophets legally. Prophets are stoned today pretty much the very same way and things are getting much worst by the hour. I am both a witness and a living proof of it.

It is very easy for any so called faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ, including the founders of this site, in their sacred cow idolatry to give prompt heed to the voice of the apostles and prophets of the church of Jesus Christ, which is a virtue worth commending. But if one true apostle or prophet of JESUS CHRIST, obscure, and unlearned, like Samuel the Lamanite springs up out of nowhere; or from the mist of our congregation; or outside doctrinal standards, crying repentance mightily unto them with the powers of Elias or Elijah, I solemnly prophesy in the name of Christ, that he will be counted with the infirm and with the transgressors.

Then, the local and stake priesthood leaders will say that he is derailed or that he has an evil spirit. Then, they will give to the prophet new or particular commandments to keep him silenced. They will deny him to partake of the love of Christ and forbid him to speak to the congregation. His civil liberties or inalienable rights will be violated. He will be cast out from among them, and his words will be rejected and they will say that they are rubbish or that they are of no worth. By cohesion, he will be taken against his will to psychiatric hospitals or cast into pits among wild beasts where his life may be endangered. He will be incarcerated and forgotten based on false witness or evil reports against him. He will be poisoned with deadly substances or psychotropic medications; and his precious blood will be shed time and again against his or her will thinking that he is under the influence of illegal substances. And if by the grace and mercy of God, the prophet escapes death for a little season, he will be persecuted; his post in the church will be taken away from him without a proper judgment or valid reason; and it will be given to a puppet or do-mi-ciled priest of the establishment. With their lips, they will tell the prophet that they love him, yet in their meetings, he will no longer be counted worthy or open to counsel.

And because the prophet will have confounded them in their own schemes by the word of God, they will be angry at him and not know what to think of him. And after they have destroyed for many years his reputation and character more than any man, then they will conspire to have him being mentally re-examined to further restrain him with medication if it is that he wants to remain among them. If he does not submit, they will threaten to call on him the department of children and families to intervene based on an assumption of potential violence when in effect there is no violence in him. And if he is then, by cross examination; yea, if he is found not crazy, by stratagem or priestcraft, they will attempt to strip him from his priesthood authority or to excommunicate him from the church and say that he is an apostate of the church for believing too much and by his works of faith or by exceeding their righteousness, or by giving strict heed to the council of the true leaders of the church.

Because it is written that a prophet is not accepted in his own house and among his own people. And with very rare exceptions, it is not possible that a prophet dies outside JerUSAlem or out of the Holy City. To say otherwise will be to override the words of the living Christ.

Nevertheless, you all must know this, that after the prophet has time and again sealed the law and the testimony, the sermons of heaven do speedily follow and the incredulous and wicked can only say that the God of nature suffers.

Therefore, if those modern apostles and prophets of the church who is called after the name of Christ, whom we hold dear today have not gone thru a few of these ordeals and can attest to it with living proof as I and the ancient prophets have made manifest, they still have a long way to go in order to be given the honor of the Kingdom of heaven. It is so because these things or perils are the heritage of the righteous.

And if by any chance they say or have said that God has changed or that in these latter days God does not communicate his will as he did anciently by saying: “Thus saith the LORD,” their God is not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who I and the true prophets also worship. By the spirit which is in me, I solemnly testify of the existence of God, of the divinity of Jesus Christ and of the truth of all things. As you see, I myself am not one centimeter behind the chiefest of the apostles in words and in deeds. And if prophet or priesthood holder that says that he does not know what is in the future, he is a dead prophet or teacher, who only knows about God, but has not come close enough to know him personally. And who can deny it? Because the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy and where there is no vision, the people perish.

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
(Old Testament Proverbs 29:18)

Now I must conclude my brethren with the words of Amos. To him that is quick to observe or to him who has eyes, let him understand.

Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing? Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all? Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not known it? Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

(Old Testament Amos 3:3 - 7)

The Lion has roared, who will not fear, the Lord has spoken, who can but prophesy?

These things I say humbly and firmly as one having authority in the holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I, like all under heaven who have come short of the Glory of God, may lack moral authority, but unlike them that preach and not practice, after exquisit repentance, I have attained the moral courage and the moral intellect; and have proven by words and by deeds to be valiant for the truth. And I now show to them and to the world any way they like or dislike my very own face.
